Salt Print: an alternative photo process in which solutions of salt water and silver nitrate are applied to the surface of paper in order to make it light-sensitive.
With Salt Printing, the treated paper is left to the sun to expose the chemical. The resulting picture is largely out of the control of the creator, and is both encouraged and perhaps challenged to revel in the imperfect. I am fascinated by the inexplicable colors and nuances that occur organically with this process; it's like magic.
